Jogging has a lot of health benefits. It helps you lose weight, reduces your risk of cancer, strengthens your joints, relieves stress, and more! We know that a lof our listeners like to stay in shape, so we’ve compiled a short list of some places here in Cebu that you might want to try to jog around in.
Cebu I.T. Park
This is where I work full-time and this is a convenient spot for those working here or within the Lahug area. Even if I.T. Park is constructing more buildings, the area is still conducive for taking long walks and a quick jog after a long day at work. A bonus is that if you're with your group of friends, you can unwind before or after your workout together.
Enjoy a panoramic and breathtaking view of the sea as you jog! The SRP Seawall is a popular spot among runners and bikers. There's a specific rule for entry so you can excercise as you please from Monday to Saturday only between 4:00 A.M – 8: 00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.- 9:00 P.M. On Sundays, you may choose any time of the day. It may not be convenient since there's no public transportation but the SM Seaside City Cebu is nearby so you can grab a cab ride from there.
Cebu Business Park Access Road
This is located behind C.I.C. and is within the perimeters of the Ayala Center Cebu and Cebu Business Park. As traffic and safety are regulated and rigidly observed, it is not surprising that joggers, skateboarders, and even those who just enjoy leisure walking find this jogging area safe and secure. Just make sure not to collide with those skateboarders! The area is also convenient as there are sari-sari stores nearby or you can simply walk up to the mall.
This is a route that tests your endurance! Located at Tisa, this is also a popular route among professional bikers. This spot is ideal for moderate to professional joggers and newbies can jog slowly and accelerate along the way. Since this is a mostly-residential area, finding food and beverage is also convenient after that excruciating workout.
Other spots mentioning include the Naga Baywalk, Marcelo Fernan Bridge at Mactan, and San Carlos Heights. What are your other recommendations? Share with us.
