Someone has finally bought the King of Rock’s jet plane that has been sitting on a runway for 35 years!
A private jet once owned by King of Rock, Elvis Presley has been auctioned after sitting on a runway in New Mexico for 35 years. It sold for $430,000 (more than 21 million pesos) during the weekend at an Agoura Hills, California event featuring celebrity memorabilia.
The buyer’s name was not disclosed in the sold note posted on the auction firm’s website. Also found on their site is information on the recently sold jet, It says that Elvis designed the interior himself; gold-tone woodwork, red velvet seats and red shag carpet. But the red 1962 Lockheed Jetstar has no engine and needs a restoration of its cockpit.
