During a Q&A at Comic-Con 2017 in San Diego over the weekend, showrunner Scott M. Gimple was asked if the audience will ever see survivors of the zombie apocalypse in another country. Gimple responded by saying: “I would say it is entirely possible that that could happen. I’m going to continue to give a long, ambiguous answer on that, but I would say it’s something… I’d say it’s something.”

Although the upcoming season of Walking Dead, which will be aired this October 24, is expected to remain firmly situated in the state of Georgia, there will still be hopes that the survivors of TWD will survive even up to further locations.
