Roy Dotrice has passed away peacefully at the age of 94 years old. He was surrounded by his family, including his three daughters, grandchildren and great-grandson. The Tony-award winning actor has had a decades-long career in theater and in the movies. He was known for his role as Mozart’s father Leopold Mozart in the 1984 classic Amadeus.

In the 2010’s, Dotrice played a role as the head of the Alchemists’ Guild in the wildly popular fantasy series Game of Thrones. His role was Hallyne the Pyromancer, who produced the wildfire that defended King’s Landing during the Battle of the Blackwater.

Dotrice also lent his voice to become the narrator in the audiobooks for the Game of Thrones books. Dotrice also holds the Guinness World Record for the largest number of characters voiced by a single person in an audiobook.
