Mean Girls” was a teen comedy movie written by comedian Tina Fey and released in April of 2004. Fourteen years later, people are still in love with it. The script is still being quoted today and its most devoted fans never forget to wear pink on Wednesdays.

Each year on October 3, fans of the classic film gather to celebrate the movie’s everlasting appeal. This year, Tina Fey will help rename a New York City street in honor of the movie and its Broadway musical adaptation. The new street, W. Fetch Street, is a reference to a slang term that character Gretchen Wieners was trying to force into the modern lexicon.

Another memorable scene in the movie was when Lindsay Lohan’s character Cady Heron was asked a vital question by her crush Aaron Samuels. “What day is it?” An astonished Cady replied: “October 3.” Now, every time the date comes around, fans take to social media to remember the day and the movie itself.
