The Junni Ban, which is also topped with caviar, is 100 times more expensive than the average dog in the mall!
It is a hotdog like no other, it’s the Guinness Book of World Records’ most expensive hotdog in the world! The caviar topped creation is priced at $169 (at least Php8,500).
Named the Junni Ban, it has been created by Japanese fusion food experts Tokyo Dog. More than a foot long, the traditionally smoked cheese bratwurst is topped with butter teriyaki grilled onions, maitake mushrooms, wagyu beef, foie gras, shaved black truffles, caviar and Japanese mayonnaise, and comes in a brioche bun.
Eugene Woo, owner of the company that created the Junni Ban, told local media: “It’s savoury. It has fabulous flavors. It’s an amazing hot dog, Our buyers loved it.
“We wanted to not just throw a bunch of expensive ingredients on it. We just wanted a really awesome hot dog that people would love. It was a lot of research and trial and error.”
They piled up everything expensive they could find, like a demolition derby in a classic car museum. If somebody had told Tokyo Dog that uranium was expensive, then you'd need to wear a hazmat suit to even hold the hotdog.
