December 13, 2015 (Cebu, Philippines) - This coming January 16, 2016 marks a highly-anticipated unique and eclectic live music experience.

Get ready as you amp up your Sinulog weekend celebration with the Plus63 Music Festival! Plus63 is bringing in the best of the international music scene together with the country’s most-celebrated acts and today Plus63 announces the first wave of local artists to perform during the event:

Ever since winning the San Miguel band competition’s Visayas leg back in 2000, the Powerspoonz have taken the local music scene by storm thanks to a slew of provincial and university tours. The Cebuano music scene won’t be complete without a touch of Reggaeton Fusion Rock by the masters themselves. Influenced by soul, reggae and metal, the Powerspoonz have a distinct sound still enjoyed by thousands up to this day. Today the band has a long-standing fan base also dubbed as the Spoonheads and has gained national recognition from established bands here in the Philippines such as Slapshock.

Alternative Metal band Faspitch has been in the game since they formed back in 2000 and fans have described them as a band to be experienced, not just heard. Influenced by Deftones, Anberlin and the Smashing Pumpkins, Faspitch is known to be hastily experimental. The band has gained a massive following here in Cebu and a growing fan base in Luzon especially with their well-received performance during the recent THREADFEST Manila.

Sirens formed back in 2011 and is composed of a line-up with different tastes and musical backgrounds. Known for their distinct mix of rock and alternative sound, it’s no secret why their sound commands attention among Cebu and Manila fans. After a year being in the music scene their first music video Moments was released and the following year their full-length album Beginnings was launched. Although relatively fresh in the scene, Sirens has already been celebrated by the likes of Chicosci, Urbandub and Jejaview.

When fashion and music are mixed especially with the likes of Sanya Smith and Ornussa Cadness, expect an electrifying and interactive experience in the form of The Zombettes. Founded in 2010, the duo has a range of influences such hip-hop, rock and dubstep and claims that there’s something for everybody with their sound. Now a mainstay act in the music scene in Manila and after tours around the country and Asia, the duo is gaining a legion of followers- one city at a time.

Plus63 Music Festival is an event not to be missed by anyone coming to Cebu for the Sinulog Festival happening that same week. Expect more local and international acts to be announced among our roster of performers this coming January 16th at the Cebu International Convention Center Grounds!
