1.) Yesterday we finished discussing the dive destination, Palawan. Today we’re bringing you to Apo Reef. This island is a one big dive site and is included in one of the many protected marine area of the Philippines. Apo reef has been popular live-aboard destination for many years. Its numerous dive sites are now frequently accessed by large banca boats from Pandan Island’s dive resorts, as well as from Puerto Galera. Dive such as Shark Ridges, Binangaan Droff-Off and North Wall are some of the many attractions on Apo Reef. Don’t forget to dive safely and #divesafePH

2.) Earlier this day, we told you about Apo Reef in Occidental Mindoro. To add another dive destination in Luzon is Albay. Albay is not just popular for Mount Mayon but also for its diving. One of the dive sites here is the Palale Falls. Palale Falls is not often visited by tourists, or diving buffs, because they also prefer to go to island beaches. For this reason, it has become a draw for people who like to go diving or bathing near waterfalls in relative isolation. It can be reached via trails. Another is the Corangon Island. Corangon is a local word that translates to “coral”, and it is only fitting as the island is composed of corals. Through a process lasting millennia, crushed and crumpled corals in the sea were elevated by the constant waves and currents of the restless sea, eventually forming an island. Corangon Island is small, and only visible on low tides, but from Tiwi you can easily see it. A dive around the islet itself will reveal some of the finest hidden treasures in the sea. Another site is the Vera Falls. Vera Falls is situated in an area off Mt. Malinao, in turn embedded in an enchanting forest. The exotic vegetation, free flowing rivers and trails make this an attractive enough site. But at the end of your trek, you will come across a body of water, which provides you the opportunity to go diving. Don’t forget to dive safely and #divesafePH

3.) Next stop with our diving destination is Sorsogon. A dive site here is Dancalan Beach. A diving site in Sorsogon that is gaining prominence is Dancalan Beach. The waters of Dancalan Beach are not that deep, making it ideal for those new to scuba diving or snorkeling. By diving into the waters, you will see plenty of different types of marine creatures and also some of the most diverse kinds of coral reefs anywhere. Another is the Calintaan Island. The island itself is renowned for its impressive rock formations and caves, but it is the waters around it that grab attention, mainly due to its vast underground caves and other imposing rock promontories. Check out www.divephilippines.com.ph to see more popular dive sites in the area, you may go to. Don’t forget to dive safely and #divesafePH
