Dua Lipa unveils her own wax figure at Madame Tussauds

If you’ve been to New York or Hong Kong or London as a rich tourist, then you’ve probably visited Madame Tussauds’ wax museum. It houses wax-figure replicas of pop culture icons such as celebrities, world leaders and fictional characters. You’re free to take pictures with the waxworks and sometimes real celebrities pose at the galleries to prank fans.

When the Grammy-winning artist Dua Lipa visited the wax museum in 2004, when she was just nine years old, she did not expect to have her likeness be recreated in the future. After an incredible year in her music career, Lipa unveiled a brand new waxwork modeled after her in the Madame Tussauds museum in London. She posed with her uncanny wax double and shared the photos on Instagram. You can see the pictures below.

“Last night I went to the unveiling of my Madame Tussaud’s London wax figure,” she said. “I feel like I played it cool until I saw it in real life and felt like I was playing a staring game to see if it would blink. Totally surreal.”


Fans pointed out that the outfit her waxwork was wearing was from Dua Lipa’s performance at Glastonbury in 2017. The singer and her fans have praised the likeness of the waxwork with one follower describing it as “the most realistic figure in the museum”.
