When high fashion becomes more accessible to the mass market, and reaches ready-to-wear , off the rack category , a new fashion freedom begins. What used to be available only to those who can afford customized one of a kind designer couture is now at department stores and is the latest buzz in Cebu.
With the recent fashion show held at the North Wing of SM City , Cebu's elite came marching in to grace the launch of Fashion Forum, a new stylish section for women at SM. Spotted by the Style Squad were socialite Amparito Lhuillier and former Congressman Raul del Mar, who both made the toast for the success of the occasion. Also on the spotlight where Cebu's accomplished and stylish women as they were presented wearing the long and easy maxi dresses of the collection. Miss Cebu 2011 Mia Fareedon, jewelry designer Jennifer Martinez, real estate broker Fiona King, mother and housewife Danessa Onglatco, architect and former beauty queen Girlie Maraya Ang, and Cebu's very own lady congresswoman Cutie del Mar wowed the crowed and gave Fashion Forum the kind of image it deserved.
At the show, Pret-a-porter casual mini dresses and cocktails swept off the runway in a mix of printed jersey wraps, bondage stretch satin stunners, and tulip confections in shantung and taffeta were paraded by Cebu's top mannequins led by beauty queens Kris Janson , Rogelie Catacutan , Charish Libatog, and rising model Joy Casimero of AD MODELS . These lovely pieces range from day wear must haves, to sophisticated evening staples that cater to teen age fashionistas, young social partyphiles, and elegant women with age that know style with substance in dressing.
  
The event was also styled with class , with Mr Philip Rodriguez, one of Cebu's fashion icon , heading the creative team that organized the well attended event.
Kudos to Fashion Forum for giving fashion conscious consumers a better alternative that's wearable and affordable without sacrificing good quality designs and practicality with style.
