Who could ever forget Wolfgang way back in the 90's local rock scene? Composed of Mon Legaspi, Basti Artadi, Manuel Legarda and Francis Aquino Who formed the band in 1992 and made a come back in 2007 from a hiatus in back 2002.
They released their first album Wolfgang after their first two original composition "Darkness' and "Left Alone" generated huge interest from the local rock scene. Their first album was then followed by Semenelin (1996), Wurm (1997), Serve in Silence (1999), and Black Mantra (2001). While its true that they have been around for quite sometime now, and have recently resurfaced once again in the local rock scene (thanks to a nationwide rock event), but just how much do you know about the band? Back in the days when Padi's Ayala was still one of the known hangouts in Cebu, that was one of the places that Wolfgang had gigs whenever they visited Cebu.
Who can also forget the concert of Wolfgang at the Cebu City Sports Center that almost turned into an ugly riot after the band's performance was literally cut short but zealous individuals who had not a single bone of rock in them. I was still in high school when Wolfgang came into full swing in which their song "Arise" was a personal favorite of mine, regardless of the measly fact that I don't have the skills to play a single musical instrument I still felt like a true rocker by heart. If there is one thing that I'd really wish for, that would be for Wolfgang to perform here in Cebu again for which I'd definitely score front row tickets!
