One of the few spy movies that came out Hollywood last year is The Double which stars Richard Gere (Pretty Woman) and Topher Grace. (That 70's Show).
The movies is about a retired CIA operative is paired with a young FBI agent to unravel the mystery of a senator's murder, with all signs pointing to a Soviet assassin who goes by the name "Cassius". It unravels that Cassius had created an elite group of Soviet assassins (Cassius 7) who were responsible for a string of political killings during the cold war era. Paul Sheperdson (Richard Gere) knows everything about Cassius and his group hiding a dark past which is revealed close to the end of the movie. Uniquely with how Cassius killed his victims was by using a razor sharp wire to slit their throats (with no witness), Ben Geary (Topher Grace) is a FBI operative who made it to the bureau after writing a thesis on Cassius when he was still in college. An unlikely partnership begins as they try to hunt down Cassius who seems to have completely gone haywire with unexplained killings eventually disappearing from the radar. Eventually Topher Grace discovers who Cassius really is and knows why he dropped out of the radar a few years back which in turn exposes who Topher Grace really works for.
So if you want a good spy movie where you can see Richard Gere show some killer moves (not the romantic ones) then you have to find time and see this movie which guarantees to blow your mind in figuring out the whole plot of the movie.
