Although we are about to bid farewell to a very festive and fun January. There may still be some things left to do before the next few days are used up.
Not just places to visit, or fun activities, it is also a reminder of the little things that are time to do around this time of year. So find time to take a look and you might just remember something important to do.
A helpful thought of January is that it was derived from the word "Janus", the Roman god of doorways and arches.
Prepare for Tax Month
List the down everything and interest income statements you expect. Check off each one as it arrives. The list will keep you from preparing your tax returns until you have all you data in hand. April is just around the corner so better be ready than be sorry.
Now That The Holidays Are Over
It's somewhat of a relief. The gifts were given and gotten, the family has come and gone. I know you thought it was all over. Think again.
- Go through your decorations. Throw away anything too ratty for next year and box up everything else.
- Write thank you notes.
- Download (or develop) your holiday photos. Don't forget to share them with friends.
- Restock the liquor cabinet (YES!).
- Go through the fridge. Get rid of the left over food before they go bad.
Valentine's Day is in fast approaching!
I know it isn't in January, but if you celebrate Valentine's Day, you should start planning now (make reservations for your "special" place). Last minute reservations on Valentine's Day are disastrous and can ruin the romantic mood. There are way too many people who line up to the firing squad so make sure you are not one of them!
