Funnyman Rex Navarrete will be in town once again this coming November 25, 2011 for a one night show at the Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Hotel & Casino Lahug. Rex is a well known standup comedian having had a good number of sold out shows in the US where his main audience are mostly Fil-Ams who find humor in his skits on stage. Born in Cavite in 1969 where his first years were spent with his grandparents in Cavite and Batangas while his parents migrated to Chicago after which he joined his family at the age of 3 settling down in California. His material usually is geared towards a wide Filipino audience and the contents are taken from his Filipino grassroots touching on the life of every Filipino who had to work or migrate to the stage. Aptly called FOB's (Fresh Of The Boat) a term used to call newcomers he has transformed it into a way of getting across to his audience. He has toured almost in every major city in the world with huge Filipino presence and has had quite a few unique skits such as "Maritess vs. The Superfriends" and "Husky Boy".
