SM City Cebu is bringing in the best of Cebu in one exhibit at the Northwing of SM City Cebu. Cebu Cebu will showcase another Cebu’s finest in fashion, furniture, home accessories, car design, and photography.
See stylish designs from Cebuana fashion designer Arcy Gayatin when she exhibits her masterpieces at the Northwing, one of the most respected designers in Cebu and in the rest of the archipelago. Think of photography in Cebu and the first thing that comes to mind is the Images Camera Club. Back in 1984, the club began as a spin-off of a photo workshop organized by Island Photo Center Inc., with the late Eliseo Casia of Kodak Philippines as the speaker. He taught the workshop participants many key elements of basic photography and encouraged them to form a hobby group. Today, members of the club earned so much respect after winning different photo contests in the country specifically in festivals, Earth Hour photo contest, and the ASEANTA Excellence Awards in Hanoi, Vietnam. See the latest innovation of furniture designer and manufacturer Clayton Tugonon with his Una Cebu Car. The car has an exterior made with coconut flower’s stalk and rattan strips, the dashboard made from a blend of two-toned shells, while the steering wheel and shift knob made from Shagreen.
Grace Alberio Guinefolleau, owner of a furniture and home accessories shop in Mandaue City, brings her creations closer to her clients and the rest of the Cebuanos. Aside from furniture and home accessories, she also makes her own handbags.
Adding excitement to the roster of Cebu’s fashion designers is Philip Tampus. A bridal and evening gown designer, Tampus has over 14 years of experience being a designer in Saudi Arabia and in the United Arab Emirates. He also had fashion shows during the Philippine Fashion Week in Manila.
