For those who are patrons of local (indie) movies, this year the Cinema One Originals Cebu Filmfest is back and with a whole new batch of locally made movies. This event will be held at the SM CINEMAS CEBU from February 11-16, 2012. Expect to see the film My Paranormal Romance which had recently bagged a number of awards during the Cinema 2011 Cinema One Originals Film Festival. Being one of two Cebuano-produced entries that made this year’s cut and wowed audiences during their screenings in Manila, the romantic-comedy film directed by Victor Villanueva has won the hearts of critics and consumers alike for its refreshing, entertaining and feel-good storytelling.

Though far from the classy Hollywood sets and productions, Cebuano film makers are not far left behind in terms of good script writing or content in the movies they make. Most movies are noticeably more leaning towards day to day lives of those who live in the Philippines such as romance, humor / comedy, drama, and horror. 

So let us support our local talents by watching their masterpieces on the wide screen this coming February 11-16, 2012 and not the following screenings:
