The Scottish DJ, singer-songwriter and record producer debuted with a gold-selling album, “I Created Disco” in 2007. His second studio album, Ready for the Weekend in 2009 zoomed up the UK Album Chart with the chart-topper “I’m Not Alone,” the UK top five hit “Ready for the Weekend” and the singles, “Flashback” and “You Used to Hold Me.”
His recent international chart topper “We Found Love” made wildly popular by pop superstar Rihanna continues to pump up the hottest party places around he world. Harris has also written and produced records for other A-listers in the music industry such as Kylie Minogue and Dizzee Rascal.
Harris, known for his naughty schoolboy look, is set to release his third studio album this year which contains the hit singles “Awooga”, “Bounce” and “Feel so Close.”
Harris defied the norms in the music industry when he skipped the traditional route of club apprenticeships or on indie labels and instead posted his own self-made electroclash music online through MySpace and other free social media sites until he was noticed and signed up by the multinational giant label EMI.
