I don't call it being anti-social but I just don't appreciate paying for a good movie where half of the time someone is talking or asking stop about the movie.
It just is a bother when you watch a movie and you hear murmurs from behind you, beside you, and in front of you. But its more worse if its your actual companion talking your ear off! Society might just be like that or some people are born like that to make it more concise since I had the same experience watching Conan last month in Sydney. But getting back to business what would you prefer when watching a movie? Enjoying the movie in silence or with audience distraction? Another thing that is annoying is people not turning their mobile phones silent often hearing it shreik when getting an SMS but what sucks more is when they take a call after their cheesy ringtone rings out. Before android and smartphones people pimped out their phones with bright LED lights that competed with the movie projector proving to be such an eye sore! Sad thing is asking politely gets a grunt or sneer as an answer and most movie attendants can't even muster the guts to call their attention on behalf of the patrons. I also miss the old days when one can step in half way thru the movie and see it over and over till ones eyes turn red. Now its one show per ticket no reruns so the solution I came up with is downloading those movies I want to watch which I can do at the comforts of my own room without the hassles of lining up for tickets, lining up to enter the cinema, lining up for refreshments, and lining up for the toilet (sometimes) hehehe... If you share the same movie experience down memory lane as I have give yourself a pat on the back coz you are not alone!
