You'd be dumb or from the Dark Ages if you don't know who Samuel L. Jackson is. Little do we know that he has actually pulled in .4 billion dollars from movies he starred in ever since he got his first big break in 1991's "Jungle Fever" which now makes him the highest-grossing actor of all time as per Guinness Book of World Records.
He's averaged four films a year over the past 2 decades, making 6 movies in 2010, 4 in 2011, and signed up for 3 next year. What I love about his acting is his style of completely immersing himself in the role he plays, hero or villain he has this tenacity to really make you feel his role. One of his lesser known movies I got the chance to watch was "Unthinkable" where he played the role of a tactical interrogator who was tasked at finding out where a terrorist had placed 3 nuclear devices in 3 different US cities. The movie is not for those who are against torture as a means of getting information but considering the situation "H" (Samuel L. Jackson) had physically and psychologically tortured the bomber into submission only to be pulled out at the last minute by his superiors which ends in disaster as one of the nuclear bombs disarmed was actually a decoy with another one counting down to zero. Going back to Samuel L. Jackson who is by far one of the best known versatile actors in Hollywood today, every movie he stars in always brings something new. I recall that in one of his movies "Snakes on a Plane" where a part of the movie shows him just cussing to his hearts content which I believe earned him an award for a certain competition aside from the Oscars as well as a reenactment of the part in a comedy rip-off. Coming next year he will star again in Zambezia, The Avengers, and The Samaritan which I can already see will further cement his achievement as the highest-grossing actor of all time.
