Before you go into panic and run to your local convenience or grocery store to load up on supplies, disregard the initially mindset of the article's title. This is not about an upcoming battle, its about the group WAR.
The guys from War are fuming mad after being snubbed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this week. And the fact the Beastie Boys got in before them is some serious salt in the wound.
Howard Scott, vocalist and a founding member of War said he was shocked that the rappers were inducted before his band, when they (WAR) were cranking out gold records when they (Beastie Boys) were still in diapers. Scott even questioned on how could the Beastie Boys get in before them when the Beastie Boys even sampled War's music on their first album.
The singer had been pretty hopeful his group would finally be inducted into the HOF this year and says the disappointing news felt like he was kicked in the back of his britches.
For the record War was founded back in 1969 and dominated music with hits like Cisco Kid, Why Can't We Be Friends, Slippin' Into Darkness and of course Low Rider.
