To Those who grew up in the 90's to baggy / saggy pants it can be credited to one unique individual who was a testament of that era.
Sadly, that icon did not end up too long in the business (even going head to head with Michael Jackson) and eventually withered into the anal's of music history. However, like a resurrected classic song he has been seen and heard more around music town. But this comeback of MC Hammer is far from being a scott-free reemergence. As we have learned that the U.S. government isn't letting MC Hammer off the hook for the 9,585 he owes in back taxes and Uncle Same has now filed a lawsuit against the rapper and his wife to recoup its losses.
The back taxes are from Hammer's most financially troubled years during 1996 to 1997 and Uncle Sam wants the money back stat, demanding any concert earnings Hammer makes be automatically redirected into the government's pocket.
Hammer who's real name is Stanley Burrell filed for bankruptcy in 1996, after burying himself in million of debt. All he got from his royalties was a house reportedly worth " million" but lost it as well when he went bankrupt. Ironically, he does have one song that fits his status now which is "2 Legit 2 Quit".
