Some bands/artists just hate to pull out of a gig or disappoint their fans, although these talented individuals make up a few from the numerous artists we know of it is admirable that they do have the heart and initiative to give what their fans want regardless of their own personal agony from lingering injuries.
Such dedicated individual is Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers who had postponed their upcoming U.S. tour over a crushed bone in Anthony Kiedis's right foot. The band released a statement saying that Anthony recently underwent surgery to remove a crushed sesamoid bone and correct a detached flexor tendon in his foot. For those of you who are not licensed medical doctors out there, the sesamoid bone is connected to Anthony's big toe (not that toe, but the other toe).
Anthony is expected to make a full recovery and the band has posted the new tour dates on their website. Kiedis has been dealing with foot problems since the famous Stadium Arcadium tour back in 2007 (a good 4 years) recently explaining that he stayed out on tour with broken bones in his feet from jumping off the bass drum, which is kind of agonising, and it led to him being in a bad state of mind. A few weeks back Anthony was seen attending a L.A. Lakers game with the help of some crutches but nevertheless seemed to be in good spirits.
