Las Vegas Sin City State of MindPDFPrintE-mail

Who wouldn’t want to spend an entire lifetime in a city where everything naughty is permissible and where the famous tourist slogan “what happens here, stays here” came to life! Male and female strip joints, 24/7 gambling and booze-friendly establishments tout The Strip!

And when famous celebrities let loose in public and Las Vegas is the set for the upcoming thumbs-up flick – you know that you’re in the right trumpeting place away from home. Nothing is surprising here, from Britney Spears strolling down The Strip with her favorite spirit in hand and needing some assistance out of Pure nightclub after being bombed after a New Year’s party to Paris Hilton dating George Maloof at the Palms opening in 2001. Las Vegas is all about having fun – you just have to have that Las Vegas state of mind!

I arrived in the City of Sin three weeks ago to attend a convention – the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) – later to find myself on a continued stay in the simply irresistible internationally renowned fantasyland for adult entertainment! A resort city for just about everything that comes to mind, Las Vegas bills itself as the The Entertainment Capital of the World and has certainly earned its title – Sin City!

Las Vegas though, is not only about sinning! This time of year presents a paraiso climate in which one can enjoy oodles of recreational activities (in spite of the excitement building up for the Royal Wedding of the decade in which everyone is glued to on CNN)!

These are some of my favorite “things to do” when I’m in Vegas:

  1. Golfing at one of the 78 world-class championship golf courses with breath-taking views like The Wynn Golf Club in the city or Badlands in Northwest Las Vegas
  2. Chowing down in one of the buffets at top-notch hotels like the Bellagio on The Strip or the Aria at City Center
  3. Gambling at my favorite local casino The Orleans where winning is awe-inspiring and losing is not all that painful (only because hotdogs come free and draft beers are offered at Happy Hour)
  4. Clubbing at the Marquee, XS or Chateau where I may bump into choice hot divas or stallions
  5. Watching entertaining gigs, among many others The Police Concert and shows like Love

Expect me to play hookie a bit longer – Bootleg Gold! In the meantime, as the king of rock Elvis Presley once said – Viva Las Vegas!

Gotta go – Red Rock Casino’s waiting for my bet!
