A melting pot I so love! Written by Mama Cash

If there’s something said accurately about San Francisco it is in Journey’s ballad Lights about my city by the bay. And that’s where I’m heading to today.

I just so love San Francisco, a cosmopolitan melting pot of geeks, gays, working class and elite, beggars, tourists, retirees, Bohemians and hippies, Chinese immigrants, Pinoys and so much more. Full of life, it’s a city that truly has everything! 

And when I hear the sound of San Francisco what comes to mind is:

• Home of the 49ers and Giants
• Golden Gate Bridge and Bay Bridge
• Haight and Ashburry
• Filmore East and celebrities
• Thousands of restaurants
• 43 Hills
• Twin Peaks, Pacific Heights and Nob Hill
• Alcatraz
• Union Square
• China Town
• Fisherman’s Wharf
• Ghirardelli
• Fog
• Nerdville 

This is what the city by the bay means to me yet there’s too much to say about this beautiful metropolis but so little time for me to write so let me tell you all about it next week after the fact. 

For now, just think that I’m on the last leg of my trip and I’ll be back in Cebu soon to relay all my experiences since I left. In the meantime, I will keep you in my heart while I visit my city by the bay!
