This may sound like I am touching on just random thoughts that come into my head but
heck as one friend told me "Let your thoughts loose" or something that sounded that way (we were both drunk already at that time). Each and every one of us has a particular fear or phobia that might be triggered naturally or due to past experiences that has caused us great discomfort. I am scared of everything that has more than 2-4 legs that can either fly, buzz around, or slither! But there are also some fears that seem naturally triggered such as fear of heights, tight spaces, water, and such. I fear heights especially when its like staring down from a tall building with nothing to keep me safely off the edge. Taking a peek down below from a tall structure and seeing things look like ants suddenly gives me the uncomfortable feeling of choking on an imaginary object stuck inside my throat. Last weekend, I am proud and happy to say that I took one giant leap in conquering my fear of heights by taking the much talked about zip line in Lilo-an. Though it only spanned 800 meters across (trip from point A to B was pretty fast considering that weight was a factor), it was almost 7 stories high with a shallow fish pond to break the fall if ever. It was an exciting experience for me considering that I personally am not like to take such risky adventures. My companion that time was little Geraldine who compared to me, was braver enough to totally enjoy the ride altogether. Now that I was able to successfully "conquer" that particular obstacle, I may venture to try the other zip lines out there which are more longer and way up higher to really knock off the fear of heights from my system but as a precaution I might wear some adult diapers just in case hehehe...
