This probably is a good way to start a series of articles I will be posting for Y101 TALKS at www.Y101FM.com for the whole month of August. First of all
if you guys are wondering where the heck I've been for the past few days it's not because I've been deported by immigration nor have I been abducted by aliens and subjected to multiple probing in places that can prove discomforting than comforting. I have been giving the chance to travel once again and this time I took the opportunity to visit Australia, if you wonder why I choose Australia as the my destination its simply because I always found it fascinating to see the great outback up close and personal. My first day was spent traveling around Sydney after disembarking from a connecting flight in Changi Airport Singapore on board Airbus' newest plane the 380 which I can say completely blew me away by its sheer size and exceptional comfort in traveling. I was also lucky enough not to have any jet lag from the trip (Australian time is 2 hours ahead of Philippine time) thanks to good tail winds which cut the travel time by 40mins. I am currently staying at a friends place that's situated 15mins. away from Sydney (suburbs) in a community that is composed mainly of Asian and Middle Eastern families. Take note that it is currently Ramadan and my friends are Muslim so I am also trying my best to follow their fasting and rituals to see if I can muster enough will power to not eat and drink fluids. My first week here will primarily be to get a lay of the land and adapt to the weather without looking ridiculous in layers of thick clothes. So far my experience in Australia has been really great and the level of excitement has not faded even a little. My trips would include a visit to the Sydney Opera House and a climb on the Sydney Harbor Bridge. That's just a little taste of the stuff I'd be doing here and I will definitely include some photos on my next article. I will also be sampling RoiDboi's (SB member) famous culinary masterpieces as well as enjoy some good 'ol Aussie clubbin'.
