Slash is getting ready to put the finishing touches on his second solo album. The ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist recently posted a message on his Facebook page to give fans an update on his progress. “We start mixing the record on Mon,” wrote Slash. “But the rough mixes sound great. It's a really solid record. Can’t wait to get it out there!”

With guitarist Tony Iommi continuing to battle lymphoma and drummer Bill Wardembroiled in a contract dispute, Black Sabbath has revised its plans to tour Europe this summer.

On Tuesday, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s announced via Twitter that the band is back in the studio working on a new album. The next day, Armstrong offered up some proof in the form of a brief behind-the-scenes video.

Slash has now released details of his upcoming second solo studio album. CalledApocalyptic Love, the disc will be in stores May 22nd. The album features Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators; Slash co-wrote all the songs with Kennedy, who was also featured on Slash's self-titled 2010 debut.

Dave Matthews Band is hitting the road. This morning, they announced their first North American tour in two years. The outing kicks off May 18th in Woodlands, TX and keeps the band on the road through the spring and summer, wrapping September 9 in Mountain View, CA.
