American Idol judge Randy Jackson chalks up his mini-feud with The Voice coachAdam Levine as a simple misunderstanding.
Recently, Levine took Jackson to task for telling reporters that season-one Voice contestants were "second-chance people" since many of them had failed before as recording artists. Levine said last week on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, “Shame on Randy Jackson for saying that. Because he, out of anybody, should know that if you’re in this business you need second, third, fourth and fifth chances.”
Jackson responded Thursday to Levine's remark. He told Ryan Seacrest's Los Angeles-based radio show, "I've got mad love for Adam...but...their show is a different show than what we do. We go out and we search for the next would-be superstar. We're looking for the person that no one knows about." Jackson added, "Respectfully, Adam Levine, we can all exist together and do it big...Adam, I think you misunderstood me, dawg."
