Here in Y101 Always First, when we talk about good DJs we mean the best DJs! Contrary to other radio stations, we don’t just take in any old fart that blabs away on air – we audition the top notch DJs in the Philippines and train them to sound exclusively Y101!
This is what Late Night Rhythms is all about! It’s the slot where neophytes begin to enjoy the board, the music, the requests, the interaction with our listeners both online and on-land and the top-of-the-hour spiel until they’re ready to talk! And that’s why the late hours bring you the authentic Y101 playlist with hardly any talk and more hot tunes!
Right now, we have our half-baked Pinoy DJ Brad to entertain us on that slot with his half German proficiency! Not quite a newbie anymore, he’s moving onto another slot and relinquishing his niche to our whipping entrant DJ Noel who, by the looks of things, is already cranking the waves with his zippy personality!
And talking about Noel, he’s our new imported tonic DJ who seems to have successfully interlocked with Cebu. Already a hit on Friday nights when he goes on board after Friday Gold Rush, our energetic tenderfoot is everything that’s suave in a persona as established when he sweeps all his listeners off their feet with his debonair adlibs! Soon to be our late night DJ, gear up for some thrashing until midnight!
Very much into the underwater scene, he says “I live in Cebu because I love the diving here!” and asked why he chose to be a DJ in Y101, he answers “I’ve always listened to Y101, even from Manila – it’s the trendsetter of CHR (contemporary hits radio) in the entire Philippines! Everyone knows Jack the Wack, John M and all The Rhythm Crew and everyone knows it’s the only station you want to be associated with! It’s every DJs dream to be a part of Y101!”
So there you have it, straight from the horse’s mouth! Even the international acknowledge that Cebu’s Y101 is burning so make sure you’re not into any other station but The Rhythm! Lock into what’s hot: Late Night Rhythms!
