Mike O teases us unleashing Paramore, Colbie Caillat and Coldplay with their fresh tracks for Y101’s playlist! Written by Mama Cash

Entering into the third week of June we have some awesome new tracks just about to be unleashed by our music man Mike O to tease us as these fresh tracks penetrate summer playlists in Europe and North America.

We have an amazing song crossing the threshold this week coming from the American rock band Paramore. Monster is a brand new single clamoring into our playlist. Soundtrack to the upcoming blockbuster Transformers: Dark of the Moon, it’s already taking a thrust into the music scene as the single (out last June 7) prepares for its official soundtrack release this coming June 14.

Also this week, Colbie Caillat debuts her fresh melody Brighter Than the Sun on Y101 Always First with a faster and more edgy summer feel. With a slight twist to her usual surf pop ballads, the American pop singer and guitarist from Malibu, California goes solstice in this second single of her new album All For You yet to be released on July 12, 2011. After she gained popularity with the album’s lead-single I Do, it’s wouldn’t be a surprise if this soft pop-rock tune wheels into the charts.

Coldplay’s much anticipated cutting-edge first single from their fast-approaching still untitled fifth album is out! Available digitally last June 3, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall (sometimes called ETIAW) is making waves to join the Northern Hemisphere’s summer extravaganza and getting ready for its fall season. A brilliant and compelling stadium-rock song with a modern U2 universal music style, it has potentials to be on the map.
