Starting a new week with fresh music can be the only thing an early Monday sunup can bring! Nobody in their sane mind can possibly want to rise-and-shine after a bashing weekend. That’s why we’ve crafted The New Tracks Hour for you to look forward to every cock-crow from 5 AM to 6 AM when you’re gearing up for school or work.
And our production expert Mike O is doing a great job in making all this happen for you! Conjecturing on what will be the next hits is certainly not an easy job. It takes a lot of research, sophistication, tastefulness and talent – and we have all that here at Y101 Always First!
So what does our guru have in the offing this week?
Firstly, from his inventory of soon-to-be-hits, he launches Mann Featuring Iyaz & Snoop Dogg in the sampling and remaking of an R&B classic. The Mack is a Mark Morrison original reawakened the Dr. Who way which transports us back to 1997 when the run-away single jazzed the world in the Billboard Top 100. The song returns with an added twist by emcee Mann and the rapping crew and is expected to make a breakthrough in next to no time as it stimulates old vibes!
What’s another breathe of life on the assembly line is Bad Meets Evil Featuring Bruno Mars as they unleash the two-piece rap collabo including Eminem. The name of the track – Lighters. A solid creation by the Detroit-based hip hop duo known for their self-titled song, the track has potentials to score some colossal points to earn a place in the charts.
A possible sleeper punch in pop countdowns, the song Army of Love from the Estonian recording artist Kerli Kõiv better known as Kerli silently penetrates the club charts like an alien bloodsucker. Arriving at an interesting position in the US music world, the lead promotional single from her second album yet to be released this fall peaked to No.1 in the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs. A likable catchy tune, the Lady Gaga-kinda-Katy Perry-kinda-Britney Spears mirror image seems to have quite an appeal in America and may happen to get lucky!
Listen to more new tracks as our programming genius quietly unveils what’s untarnished in the music market right here on Y101 Always First. If you wanna be recognized, recognize your sounds on The New Tracks Hour! Only then will you be en vogue!
