One would wonder how a significant and infamous song like Rihanna’s 10^th No. 1 single S & M, a remix which features Britney Spears, never made it to No. 1 in Cebu’s top-notch station. For that matter, neither did Dr. Dre Featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey’s I Need a Doctor nor McFly Featuring Taio Cruz’s Shine A Light – but that’s more understandable since they didn’t make it to No. 1 internationally either.

And what about Katy Perry Featuring Kanye West’s smoldering single E.T., which gained tremendous momentum around the globe – it had to wait in line at No. 2 for weeks before it finally infiltrated and conquered that much desired leading slot last week!

This only tells us that Y101 Always First has a mind of its own with a niche that dictates its aristocratic and posh music, not mimicking other countdowns!

So what do we have for this week?

When last week we predicted some shooting stars coming in strong, we were absolutely right! Adele for example, jumped five spots from No. 10 placing her roots and country track which she describes as “dark bluesy gospel disco tune” only five spots from homerun. Rolling in the Deep is the first single out of her second album, 21 and has already reached N0. 1 in the Billboard Top 100, and has sold over 1.7 million copies of the much acclaimed song in the US.

We also made mention of Tinie Tempah Featuring Eric Turner’s Written in the Stars and The Script’s If You Ever Come Back – two potential bombs! Will they detonate on WT 20 or will we have other surprises?

Or for that matter, will Katy Perry even hand over her spot to a newcomer?
