The 23 year old British singer Adele Laurie Blues Adkins popularly known as Adele scored a cuatro last week when her favored track Rolling in the Deep continued to ace the Weekly Top 20 countdown here on Y101 Always First. Will she stay on top of the chart for a quinta?
Right behind her on second place was American rapper Chingy with his first single out of his fifth album No Risk No Reward yet to be released this year. Up three spots from No. 5, the song Superhero hit No. 2, budding to peak this week.
American recording artist and songwriter Nikki Minaj also up three slots made it to No. 3 with a great uptempo track Super Bass promising to make it to the top as well. With positive reviews from critics, it is fast becoming all the rage and could effortlessly be our next numero uno!
Rocketing up the charts are two amazing tracks that will odds-on make stature – Heartbreak Down by Pink from her 2010 album Greatest Hits… So Far!!!, and the fourth international single California King Bed by Barbadian artist Rihanna from her fifth album Loud, both making waves in the US, Australia, New Zealand and the UK selling millions of units.
Also expect Shontelle to collide head on with the divas as her latest song Say Hello to Goodbye soars up 7 slots placing within the top 10 of the WT20 list. Another track that zoomed northbound 7 spots last week was country ballad Lady Antebellum’s Just a Kiss making it to No. 7 in the countdown.
Wedged at No. 8, Mike Posner Featuring Lil Wayne stays still with Bow Chicka Wow Wow while Taio Cruz’s track Telling the World dropped six notches down from No. 3.
And at No. 10 last week we had a hotshot debut from Martin Solveig Featuring Dragonette with the super track Hello making the highest new entry into the countdown. A potential power hit, take heed for this one!
