Last night, the kings of YouTube acoustic jams, Boyce Avenue, made a luscious and sexy acoustic version of Justin Timberlake’s summer pop hit Can’t Stop the Feeling. With Alejandro Luis Manzano geared up with only his Taylor guitar, and lighted up from behind with a moody backdrop, this acoustic rendition of the JT power hit was turned into pure intimacy during the Stripped Down.

Another track last night was Daya’s pop anthem Sit Still Look Pretty. The pop song was treated to a make-over and was stripped naked baring only acoustic guitar strings to be left for us to behold and appreciate. Daya’s pop song is really about female empowerment and empowering people to just go after their dreams and ambitions without letting others in their way, without having to be an accessory for someone else, or to depend on someone else for happiness. Her empowering message is to discourage everyone from sitting still and looking pretty. The acoustic version really brought out Daya’s vocals without the pop synths and 808 drum beat distractions.

The boys from Copenhagen made its way to the Live @Vevo acoustic sessions. Lukas Graham’s ballad 7 Years was finally given its acoustic treatment with Lukas Forchhammer giving his best passionate rendition of his personal track. The pop-soul hybrid was turned into a modern version of a jazz standard. Performing exclusively at Vevo’s, Lukas and his band used the piano, bass, the drums, and Lukas’ soulful vocals.
