One Dance Finally Number 1

After debuting the charts four weeks ago, Drake and his sensational tropical afro-beat One Dance finally tops it. Plus Justin Timberlake suspiciously climbs fast looking to dethrone it.

As we do every week, let us rundown the charting songs of this week’s Weekly Top 20.

It’s looking like this month we will have a really thrilling tug-of-war between Drake’s massive hit One Dance and Justin Timberlake’s also as equally massive Can’t Stop the Feeling. Both songs debuted the same week on Y101’s Chainsmokers and Daya four weeks ago, but it appears like Drake got to the top first. Moving from 10 to the number 4 position, it looks like JT is looking for a fight to the top.

Last week’s number one reigning warriors went to the Chainsmokers and Daya for their song Don’t Let Me Down. However they got knocked out from the top by an international cast of musicians; a Canadian Drake, a British Kyla, and a Nigerian Wizkid who collaborated together to make the sensational summer anthem One Dance.

As older songs like Lukas Graham’s 7 Years and Grace’s You Don’t Own Me are falling gracefully to exit the charts, Zedd and Kesha’s powerful pop anthem True Colors rises five positions up to number 13. Selena Gomez debuts this week (at 17) with her single Kill Em with Kindness along with The Vamps and OMI (18) with their own single I Found a Girl.
