New York City Jumps to Number One

Last week Zayn Malik’s Pillow Talk topped the WT20, but it looks like a whole city is more powerful than the former One Directioner.

As we do every week, let us rundown the Weekly Top 20 and highlight the songs of the soundtrack of your summer.

The emotionally tainted progressive house track brought to us by the duo Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall has dethroned the RnB slow jam Pillow Talk which dropped to number 5. Fifth Harmony’s Work From Home is expected to take over the number one spot soon but this week it is creeping in number 2. Taylor Swift’s New Romantics is also slowly climbing up as it lands its place in number 4.

The very catchy 1975 tune The Sound has the highest jump this week. Moving nine positions up, the boys from Cheshire landed from number twenty to 11.

After Hours by Troyboi featuring Diplo and Nina Sky jumped from number thirteen to 7. The trap song is getting momentum as it climbs up in the chart.

The boys from Twenty One Pilots didn’t handle the stress anymore, so along with Selena Gomez, their songs dropped off the chart, while two other tracks replace them.

Lukas Graham’s existential pop ballad 7 Years debuts to number 18, while Jonas Blue’s club-friendly cover remix of Fast Car debuts to number 19.

Halsey’s Color is expected to enter the chart around next week. So stay tuned for the Weekly Top 20 only here at Y101, the soundtrack of your summer.
