waterfalls in cebu

And don't just look while you're at it, take a swim!

I'm surprised I haven't talked about Cebu's waterfalls yet! There are plenty of places to go if you want to skip the heat or the crowd at the beach. It's also another chance to satisfy your craving for a refreshing swim! So if you got some gear, better bring them along with your buddies!

Kawasan Falls
Matutinao, Badian

Kawasan Falls

So let's start off with the most popular one in this list! If you're exploring the deeper parts of the south Badian is the go-to place if you want a cold swim after a hot day or of you want to soothe your sunburns. There are three levels but the first one is the longest.

Aguinid Falls
Samboan

Aguinid Falls

Aguinid is the go-to place if at Samboan! There are up to five levels here and it gets challenging every time. Don't worry because tour guides are readily available to assist you on the way. And don't forget to give a nice tip!

Tumalog Falls
Cebu South Road, Oslob

Tumalog Falls

There's more to whaleshark watching at Oslob- there's a unique horseshoe waterfall you can visit for a cold dip too! It's a short hike downward so it's quite a reward to find Tumalog as your destination.

Da-o Falls
Santander - Barili - Toledo Rd, Samboan

Da-o Falls

Dao Falls is the tallest of all the waterfalls you can find at Samboan. The catch basin isn't as deep (we're talking 6ft here) so you might be disappointed while the rest of us who don't know how to swim would be thrilled. There are three more cascades aside from the one seen above.

Mantayupan Falls
Barili

Mantayupan Falls

Barili is also known for its waterfall too! Mantayupan is located 15 minutes away from Poblacion and first impressions will remind you of the catch basin of Kawasan Falls.

Inambakan Falls
Ginatilan

Inambakan Falls

Looking at pictures, Inambakan Falls is a must-visit spot! Personally, I had a bad experience with the locals as they weren't very helpful on the way so we turned back. If you are to go make sure to go early into the day.

Bugasok Falls
Argao

Bugasok Falls

I'm from Argao but I've never been here! Bugasok Falls adventure junkies will love this as Bugasok Falls calls for 45 minutes of hiking and river trekking on the way.
