Watch the Trailer to Skrillex’ Upcoming Short Film ‘Still in the Cage’

Skrillex teams up with Dutch DJ Wiwek to score a short film about a Thai woman who runs away from home.

The What Do U Mean hit-maker has announced a debut short film made together with Wiwek, a producer signed to his OWSLA label. Titled Still in the Cage, the short is written and directed by Canadian filmmaker Jodeb and is scored by the two producers.

Jodeb, whose real name is Jonathan Desbiens, is famous for directing EDM videos like Zedd’s Clarity and Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash’s Reload.

The film, which follows the story of a Thai woman who wants to run away from Bangkok, will premiere this week at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, followed by a Q&A and an after party hosted by Skrillex & Wiwek, which would be pretty sick.

It’s not the first soundtrack which Skrillex has contributed to this year. A track of his that features Rick Ross appears on the OST of the DC movie Suicide Squad. Skrillex and Ross star alongside Jared Leto's Joker in the music video Purple Lamborghini.
