Honestly, I think people nowadays can be offended at anything! Even if things were made for innocent fun, people will always find something to be upset about.

Just like what happened to Demi Lovato the other day. She had to make a public apology for an innocent nonsensical joke her mom made about Brazil and the Zika virus. Now, daytime TV host Ellen DeGeneres is the one on the hot seat.

When Ellen posted a photoshopped image of her climbing on top of Olympic runner Usain Bolt, with the caption “From now on, this is how I'm running errands.”, people all over the internet was upset and found the meme to be extremely offensive.

That photo of Usain looking back at his rivals with a smile on his face before crossing the finish line has become so iconic that several hilarious memes were made out of it. When Ellen jumped on the fun, her effort has been shot down as racist.

People are so weird. It would have been different if the fastest man on earth were caucasian, and no one would’ve reacted negatively if Ellen photoshop herself climbing on top a white runner. I honestly think Ellen didn’t mean to be racist, she’s just simply saying that Usain is fast, which he is! But that logic didn’t stop Ellen from posting an apology anyway.

Usain, on the other hand, found the meme to be hilarious. The Olympian champion shared the meme with his 4.23 million followers on Twitter.
