Buzz of the Day: Why are International Musicians Crushing on Liza Soberano?

The Vamps, Charlie Puth, The Chainsmokers, these are a few of the international artists who got mesmerized by the allure of our very own Liza Soberano.

Soberano is one of the most sought-after stars in the Philippines. One can even say that she has it all – beauty, brains, personality – plus fame and fortune to boot. So it’s not really a surprise to hear that men want her, and women want to be her.

Critics have even noted that she is a stand-out among her peers. With her amiability and simplicity being one of her best features. So it’s no wonder that even international artists have come to the Philippines and wanted to meet her.

Earlier this year, British pop band The Vamps lead guitarist James McVey gave a special shoutout to the Filipino actress during a TV interview. McVey told the camera “Liza, if you’re watching, I’ll sing to you tomorrow at the show.”. The band was with Before You Exit and The Tide in Manila last January for a concert at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Then just recently, this happened.



The Grammy-nominated American pop artist publicly asked the Filipina artist if she was available to attend his first concert in Manila. Unfortunately, Soberano couldn’t make it.

The One Call Away singer even admitted during his concert at the Kia Theater in Manila that he’s got a crush on our Filipina actress. “Apparently, I am attracted to this young actress… sent her an invite, I’m just saying I sent her an invite but she’s busy,”

So to compensate for his lack of Soberano, Charlie just popped in one of her movies, Everyday I Love You, and dubbed it from his hotel room.

Then just a short week later, the American EDM artists The Chainsmokers dropped this on Twitter:

Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart the duo that make up the EDM project that brought us Don’t Let Me Down and Roses, came to the Philippines for a sold-out concert tour, but were also probably here to check out Soberano.

“I just read about some hot girl. People kept on tweeting us to invite to the show. She's an actress, I think.”

And it’s not just even the guys. Ariana Grande was another artist who came to meet Soberano, and then there was Selena Gomez who gave her a hug and called her beautiful.

I swear Liza Soberano should be considered a new tourist spot.
