The Weeknd and Daft Punk – Collaboration in the Works

A Collaboration Between Daft Punk And The Weeknd

The Weeknd, the dark and coked-up version of Michael Jackson, could be hinting at something big. Something in interstellar proportions.

It’s been almost exactly one year since The Weeknd dropped his Grammy-nominated album The Beauty Behind the Madness. And last week, The Canadian R&B artist might have hinted something big when he posted a picture of two tiny Daft Punk figurines sat atop a bookshelf speaker.

So are The Weeknd and Daft Punk working together? A Republic Records executive says yes.

a July 15, 2016 Billboard interview with Republic Records' executive vice president Wendy Goldstein contained some interesting information about a potential The Weeknd/Daft Punk collaboration. “Well actually, we have a session coming up in two days with The Weeknd and Daft Punk, and I’ve always been a massive Daft Punk fan,” she told the publication. “This is the first time I’ve been involved with an artist who’s going to go and work with them.

So a few weeks later, The Weeknd put some juice into the collaboration rumors by posting a photo of the miniature robots and captioning the post with two robot emojis.
