CAMILA

Camila Cabello finally reached the top spot. She replaces Khalid in the number one position (10-1) as Bruno Mars and Cardi B rapidly climbs up close at number 2. Meanwhile, two new songs debut. Both rap songs, Home by Machine Gun Kelly enters the chart at 18 while Eminem’s ‘River’ debuts at 17.

Knocker:
Dreamer’, Axwell Λ Ingrosso

  • Dreamer’ was officially released as a single in December. However, the track has existed since early 2016 with a rather different feel. Because of the sonic change, fans were confused when the release showed a different version than the one they have been listening to at festivals for years.

Debuts:
‘Home’, Machine Gun Kelly, X Ambassadors & Bebe Rexha

  • ‘Home' is a collaboration between rapper Machine Gun Kelly, pop singer Bebe Rexha, and rock band X Ambassadors. The song is included in the soundtrack of the Netflix sci-fi film Bright, which stars Will Smith. The song was also curated by the same people who composed the soundtrack for Suicide Squad.

River’, Eminem ft. Ed Sheeran

  • ‘River’ is a beautifully-written song that details the struggles of a failing relationship that culminates in an abortion. Ed Sheeran—who collaborates with Eminem for the first time—sings a powerful chorus of a remorseful man who wants to be washed from his sins. The river symbolizes the Jordan River where John The Baptist used its water to wash away peoples' sins.

GOSSIP – LOUIS TOMLINSON

  • One Direction’s hiatus has been the bane of every fan’s lives. However, Directioners can console themselves of that fact that the boys are still very much close and supportive of each other. Louis Tomlinson recently revealed that he has been seeing his former bandmates perform on stage as solo artists. He even admits that it’s “weird” for him to see his former bandmates perform without him.

#1 ‘Never Be the Same’, Camila Cabello

In the song Camila Cabello sings about a relationship that's addictive: “Just like nicotine, heroin, morphine. Suddenly, I'm a fiend and you're all I need”. Basically, she is saying that “Love” is her drug and she just can't quit it.
