If you've seen David Bowie's last music video Lazarus, then you may be thinking that rock icon David Bowie could have possibly planned his own death, which was released on January 7, only three days before his death.

David Bowie passed away on January 10 after an 18-month long battle with liver cancer. He was just 69 years of age.

Lazarus was a single David Bowie released last December 17 for his 25th and final album Blackstar which coincidentally was also released on his birthday just on January 8. The music video however was only released on January 7.

"The Lazarus video was incredibly creepy" Chad the Stud comments. It seems as though David Bowie was always wishing us farewell to his fans in his recent video. The song even opens with the lyrics "Look up here, I'm in Heaven."

In the music video, Bowie is lying in a hospital bed, with his face completely bandaged and buttons covering his eyes. Tony Visconti, Bowie's producer has said that "His death was no different from his life, a work of art. He made Blackstar for us, his parting gift."

Lazarus is filled with many instances of symbolism, for instance a skull can be seen in the video. Another clear example is the title of the song itself "Lazarus", who was a biblical character who was raised from the dead by Jesus.

David Bowie will be missed by many. He spanned a career of over 5 decades and was popular for his eccentric appearance and trendsetting music.
