On Friday, December 18 Ayala Center Cebu released the long anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie. Many of the Y101 DJ's were there as Y101 hosted a two week long on air and website promo, and gave out over 100 tickets! The opening ceremonies were a complete hit, there were people of all ages dressed in costumes and taking 'selfies' with all the Star Wars merchandise on site.

We asked Chad, in not too many words and without any spoilers, how he would describe the movie? Chad have it an overall 10 out of 10 stars, he had absolutely nothing bad to say about the masterpiece. "The only bad thing about the movie is that you want to watch more of it at the end."

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is already a record buster. In its opening weekend it absolutely stunned the world as it reached $529 million in sales globally; dethroning Jurassic Worlds previous record of $525 million. To put this into perspective that is somewhere along the lines of Php 25 billion.

The seventh episode in what is now being labeled as the biggest-selling movie all time, takes place 30 years after the fall of the Galactic Empire. And amazingly enough it features some of the original characters from the first Star Wars trilogy. Your favorite characters such as Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) all find their way back to the big screen in the new release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Hopefully Star Wars VIII, and IX are soon to follow.
