Martha T’s home away from home

las-vegas-1

Martha T absolutely loves Las Vegas. Having lived there for several years during the early 2000’s it has always become one of her favorite tourist destinations ever since. Las Vegas is known for its brightly lit casinos, stunning cirque de solei shows, and its entertainment artists & DJ’s. With this in mind it is no surprise that Martha T loves returning to this oasis in the desert.

Aside from the sights and attractions of the city, the Hotel accommodations are one of a kind in Las Vegas. Where else in the world can you find a hotel room for two, breakfast, lunch, and dinner all for under $50.00 (P2,200.00) a night. The hotel industry can afford to offer their rooms at this price because of the income they earn from the seasonal gamblers that flood the city all year round.

Although Las Vegas has some of the most reasonable hotel prices of any city, some of the more extravagant rooms such as the Playboy suite in the Palms Hotel can run from $3000-$5000. Which is not all that bad when you consider the view you get from your built in pool.

The Paris Hotel has been around for many years, but it still has a certain allure that’s hard to break from. This amazing shot taken from across the Bellagio Fountain gives a different perspective of the Eiffel Tower as it rises above the deserts of Nevada.

The New York New York Hotel has always been a favorite of many. With its rollercoaster and mirror of the New York skyline it is popular with many families and their children. The funny thing is when you are in Las Vegas this is perhaps the only place in the world you can walk from New York to Paris in one day!

When Martha T is in Las Vegas, she tends to stay clear away of “The Strip”. The hustle and bustle of the tourists can be a little overwhelming. Martha T chooses to stay on the outskirts of the city. Where golf courses, shoebox homes, and Whole Foods are more common. The suburb of Summerlin, Northeastern Las Vegas is now Martha T’s home away from home.
