Many people loved the 90’s while some considered it the best.

Now, I asked Veronica what she thinks about the 90’s.

Since we did not get to meet yesterday, I asked her online what she thinks about the 90’s and she gladly answered my questions in almost 500 words. I like Veronica because whenever I ask her for talks, she just takes the job away from me (haha) but hey, there’s nothing more to add since she has explained it so well already and I have no further questions to ask. So here it goes:

The 90’s for her was completely nostalgic and was probably the best years of her life. She recalls that the people were more laidback, carefree and chill. She further said that the music was amazing and that she discovered Harry Potter and Tomb Raider during the late 90’s which changed her life. Veronica reveals that the 90’s was the decade when her parents were still around. Although the relationship was bittersweet, nothing compares to the “bliss”.

As a young girl, Veronica was much of a tomboy- jumpers with one strap down, Filas, denim jackets, track jackets, tank tops, ripped jeans ( sometimes with one pant leg up), Sketchers, sweaters-tied-around-the-waist, baggy jeans, chained wallets, snapbacks (worn properly or backwards), Sony Walkman- you name it, she had it. It is actually the opposite of how you would see her today! I can’t help but giggle when I try to imagine her like this… until I imagined myself in the 90’s… and everyone else.

The 90’s for Veronica was also the start of the modern era-it marked the end of a millennium however, she said that it was not all great. The 90’s also had numerous disasters. She pointed out that everything was set into motion- the World Wide Web created, The Hubble Telescope launched. She also remembers looking up to people whom she considers her personal “The Four Horsemen”: Christopher Hitchens and Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Stephen Hawkings and Richard Dawkins. Veronica shares that intellectuals like those are difficult to find, rather, discover now- she claims to have seen more pseudo-intellectuals than actual highbrow personas.

To conclude, the 90’s for Veronica was a colorful era and I raise my cup of coffee in agreement.
