Everyone loves beer… the people of Y101FM loves beer too.

What’s with beer when it tastes bitter and makes you drunk?

In moderation, beer is actually very beneficial. Drinking two beers a day for men and one beer for the women will significantly reduce your risk of having stroke and heart diseases. It’s okay to have some beer! It also relaxes the body after a meal. So it’s fairly healthy to have a bottle of beer alongside your meal- it isn’t in our tradition but we see a lot of Koreans and Japanese having a bottle of beer in restaurants.

It also reduces your risk of blood clots- which is good news for a lot of people since blood clots can cause strokes and cardiac arrests. Some people are just unfortunate that their blood’s coagulation is bad because of genes so having a beer as a counter to it is very relieving. Beer promotes relaxation- the reason why tense people drink up. Many people always have a good night sleep after a bottle or two.

Beer isn’t bad at all, what’s bad is drinking more than you should and when you do, instead of having health benefits, you will get the opposite of it.
