Sugar Body on Me, Myself & I

Check out the highlights of yesterday’s mellow Stripped Down playlist.

Yesterday, Stripped Down provided us with some luscious acoustic tracks fit for the heavy rain that poured all over Southside. With the rainy season coming in, every weekend’s Stripped Down is now ready to provide our listeners a perfect mood to experience the best acoustic sounds originating from dance tracks. Here are three electronic tracks stripped down yesterday.

We’ve all heard that pop/rap track Me, Myself & I by rapper G-Eazy and vocalist Bebe Rexha. Last night that slow turner club jam was stripped down to only feature Bebe Rexha’s amazing vocals and jangly guitar strings.

The English liquid funk drum and bass band Rudimental also made its way to last night’s jam with their electrifying cover of Rita Ora and Chris Brown’s Body on Me. Rudimental’s rendition gave an energetic twist to Stripped Down making a perfect sound to blend with last night’s roaring thunder.

German DJ Robin Schulz released his deep house track Sugar featuring Canadian singer Francesco Yates. “Sugar, how you get so fly?’, the catchy tune is a reworking of the 2003 single Suga Suga by Mexican American rapper Baby Bash and Mexican American singer Frankie J. Robin Schulz’ remix brought a chilled deep house track for party clubbers looking for a dope time but on last night Stripped Down, the singer Franceso Yates stripped the electronic track and replaced the drum machines with an acoustic guitar. Yates’ guitar playing and singing fit perfectly on last night’s stormy atmosphere, making the Stripped Down experience better!
