It’s time for the reverberating aftermath of Sunset Cruise, the bad ass new-fangled Y101 canned show that’s impressing Cebu!
The show has been such a feat that we’ve had to extend the Cruise treat an extra hour. Now on its fourth week of two solid non-stop hours of beach house, listeners are still clamoring for more of that chill blithe music to end the week on a positive lighthearted note.
Last night was no different from every successful unwinding session we’ve bequeathed to our listeners with another pack of alluring tracks that has satisfied their craving for that beach house and pop music.
One notable track I’d like to point out is Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber’s dance-hall inspired tropical mix Sorry co-written by Bieber, Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter and produced by 27-year-old EDM master Skrillex. The single from the album Purpose is totally making a smash! A magnificent idea to colabo again with, what for me, is the biggest name in the lucrative electronic dance music market at present, the Biebs has yet struck another win!
In addition, a track that’s worthy of mention is Magnets. Although it had mixed reviews from music critics, the unique deep house synthpop track by Disclosure featuring New Zealand pop artist Lorde is actually quite catchy. It is the third promotional single from their studio album Caracal and the first to impact alternative radio in the US.
