It's never too early to start your Sinulog weekend but it's never too late for a reunion!
Back in 2006, Y101 first launched the Main Room. The Main Room was Y101's 2-hour Thursday night house show that served as a prelude to the weekend parties. The geniuses that were spinning for the Main Room were DJ Hans Cagomon and Mael Lavares. Yesterday Chad Fajardo was also on deck as the DJs played at the Distillery.
The Main Room has been notorious for giving fresh and something 'different' on the regular and if one were to quench their thirst for good house music, DJ Hans and Mael were the good way to go and played every Saturday night. After coming home from Canada and after a long time of not playing, DJ Mael decided it was time for a reunion and DJ Hans took charge in organizing the event. Indeed, yesterday has been nostalgic especially for those that were supportive at the very beginning. While Mael was away, he and Hans kept in touch and shared music. During a quick conversation at the party, he said that there will not be a comeback but will start by playing once a month. Despite this, both DJs look forward to the future and want to keep on playing and pushing good music.
But who knows, 2016 has just started and surprises are still in store for us. All we know is that it's good to be back at the Main Room!
